Born and raised in Los Angeles, Cathy came to Long Beach in 1988, where she married and had two children. She began volunteering when her boys were in elementary school and has continued being involved in school PTA, church programs, and youth organizations. As a high school English teacher, she engages with today’s youth and sees the need for programs to support our girls, especially in the middle school environment. Being present at its inception, she immediately connected with the mission of 4GIRLS Organization and has always supported the fundraising and workshops. She was excited to join the board in 2015 and looks forward to empowering more young women to shape a bright future for themselves and their communities.
