Knowing that she was destined to become a teacher since kindergarten, Stephanie Gee Seecof achieved her goal and is now a seasoned educator with over 20 years of experience. She has a passion for learning and has earned her Bachelors of Art from California State University, Long Beach and her Masters in Teaching from Grand Canyon University. She continues to take various courses throughout the year to keep her in the forefront of what is new in education.
Prior to becoming an educator, Stephanie worked for Nordstrom starting in 1986. She rose from the sales floor to management earning both the Customer Service All Star Award and the Pacesetter Award for the top 10% of sales in the company. Her passion for service and working with children shined while working for Newsong Community Church as the Children’s Ministry Director. She created programs, sought volunteers and sourced curriculum for the various classes.
Volunteering and service projects have always been in her life, starting in high school when she was a big sister and mentored an elementary student. Currently, she is a co-advisor for the Interact Club at Jessie Nelson Academy, which is part of the Rotary Club of Signal Hill. Students in this club engage in service projects both at school and throughout the community. She fell in love with the 4GIRLS organization when she started as an adult mentor, and continues her commitment by serving on the Virtual Committee. She also actively recruits middle school girls for the empowerment events and holds meetings in her classroom to help them stay connected. The young ladies have come to her to tell her how much they appreciate the program and cannot wait to become junior mentors in the future. She has personally seen them grow, mature and become “authentic, confident, and resilient” young ladies.
Stephanie has been happily married for twelve years. Both she and her husband love to cook, camp, hike, and travel the world. Stephanie truly enjoys life and loves to share and help whomever, whenever and wherever she can.
